nautical nursery {mood board}

I've been busy... really, really busy.  Sometimes I'm busy napping, sometimes I'm busy renovating our kitchen {more on that soon...hopefully}, but keeping up with blog stuff hasn't been top priority.  I think last time I posted I was just out of my 1st trimester, and now I'm just starting my 3rd.  Bad news is nothing has actually been done in the baby's room yet.  We have been putting all of our energy into completing "phase one" of our kitchen remodel.  Good news is I know the direction I'm going with the room and I know a lot of the items I want to get for the room.  Now I just have to stalk the websites for sales so I can order some of the bigger items.

Before we even found out we were having a boy, I knew I would be using a vintage paint by number picture I had bought off Etsy, if in fact the baby was a boy.  So, since it is a boy, my decor for the room revolves around this painting - which is of a big ship on the ocean.  I don't want to be overly theme-y with every single thing in the room being nautical, but just some tasteful items that go together.  I also love the color palette of the painting, so it has helped me with choosing those as well.

it's baby time

If you didn't already know, the Champ fam is getting a baby! Here is our official social media announcement... :)

Here's some quick answers to the questions we get... Due date is 1/15/15, there is only ONE in there, yes we will find out the gender, no we don't have names picked out, no I probably won't tell you our name ideas anyway, yes our parents are all very excited, and I have felt like crap this entire time (yes, even though I'm in my second trimester... just lucky I guess).

In my periods of feeling good (thank you, Zofran), I have been surfing the web for ideas on the baby's room.  I created a few mood boards with some initial items and decor that I liked.  Some of the stuff is way out of my budget but this isn't necessarily "I'm going to buy it" stuff, more like "I'll try to find something similar and/or copy" stuff.
